Swab is an independent art fair and an experimental platform for emerging artistic proposals, created in 2006. Founded by the architect and collector Joaquín Diez-Cascón, it is an event that brings together up to 80 galleries from the international scene and works as a meeting point for the cultural sector at a global level. Swab defines itself as a fair on a human scale, giving priority to the quality of the artistic program and the proximity of the project to the public. Human treatment and accessibility to culture become priorities in an event that seeks, above all, to break with the hermeticism that often surrounds the world of contemporary art and to share with Barcelona the latest trends in the international art scene.
